West Conservatory at Longwood Gardens wins at the 2023 The Plan Awards

Weiss/Manfredi's new West Conservatory at Longwood Gardens, one of North America's most prestigious botanical gardens, has won an award at the 2023 THE PLAN Awards. With over one thousand submissions every year, THE PLAN recognizes excellence in architecture, landscape, urban planning, and interiors around the world.

The West Conservatory is part of Longwood Reimagined: A New Garden Experience, Weiss/Manfredi's plan for Longwood Garden's biggest renovation project since opening in 1921. The Conservatory's crystalline silhouette and asymmetrically pleated roof continue the story and form of the conservatory complex’s original historical structures.

Two other Weiss/Manfredi projects were recognized as finalists: the Tulane University Commons and the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale University. The Commons, designed for dining and gathering, facilitates a central point of connection. The Tsai Center at Yale invites conversation and collaboration with its chameleon-like transparent curved glass walls.
