Weiss/Manfredi Featured at Design Miami Pavilion

WEISS/MANFREDI-designed projects, Sylvan Theater at the Washington Monument and Full Circle: The City + The Arch + The River, were featured at the Design Miami Pavilion in Art Basel on December 2. The pavilion, UNBUILT, was a collaborative between Harvard Graduate School of Design and Design Miami/ that showcased unrealized projects of the students and professors of Harvard GSD.

The pavilion featured two milled models of the designs in an exhibition that highlighted the potential of unbuilt projects to transform their sites. WEISS/MANFREDI and OLIN's design for the Sylvan Theater at the Washington Monument defines a new landform and setting that together create a performance landscape on the Mall. Full Circle reconnects the city to the park and the park to the river, embracing the Mississippi River as its center. The monumental civic axis of St. Louis is extended over the highway to connect the city to the park.

The projects also form part of a website featuring interactive 3D models of each project which allows you to explore the designs.
